Mini Marvels - Ant Man

A gifted electronics engineer, Scott Lang turned to a life of crime to support his family when his normal job wasn't enough to pay the bills. After a short spell in jail he attempted to reform, even landing a job at Stark Industries. When his daughter Cassie fell severely ill Scott turned back to crime in order to make the money for her treatment. He broke into the house of Avenger Hank Pym and stole his old Ant Man equipment, as Pym had begun using another of his costumed aliases at the time. When he learnt that a doctor who specialised in Cassie's illness had been kidnapped he sprang into action, using the Ant Man powers to save the day. Impressed by his heroics, Pym allowed Scott to keep the equipment on the condition that he continued to uphold the law and help people. Scott would grow into a dependable member of the Avengers until his untimely death during the Scarlet Witch's mental breakdown that caused the group to disband for a time. His daughter Cassie would become a superhero herself in his honour, joining the Young Avengers as the size-changing Stature.
