Deeply in love with the Enchantress, Skurge the Executioner has long served as her loyal henchman despite her not returning his feelings. His half-Frost Giant and half-Asgardian nature gives him greater strength and toughness than most other Asgardians, and he has proven a worthy opponent for the thunder god Thor. Aiding Amora in her schemes against Thor and the Avengers time and time again, Skurge eventually grew weary of the Enchantress' disdain for him and decided to seek a new path. Joining Thor and Balder in a mission to rescue some lost souls from Hel, Skurge ultimately sacrificed himself holding the bridge of Gjallerbru against Hela's forces while Thor and Balder escaped with the innocent souls.
