Mini Marvels - Phantom Rider

Carter Slade was a hero in the Wild West who became the Phantom Rider to fight crime. After his death his brother Lincoln took on the identity, but as time went by his sanity became strained. When a time-travelling group of Avengers visited the area, Lincoln snapped and kidnapped Mockingbird, using drugs to brainwash and rape her. During her escape Lincoln was knocked off of a cliff and Mockingbird let him fall to his death. In modern times, the Phantom Rider would return once more, after archeologist Hamilton Slade discovered the burial site of Carter Slade and was possessed by the spirits of his ancestors. Eventually the mad ghost of Lincoln began to take more control over Hamilton however, driving him to seek revenge against Mockingbird. Hamilton eventually succeeded in exorcising Lincoln from his body, only for the ghost to possess Hamilton's daughter Jaime. Hamilton enlisted Hawkeye and Mockingbird to help him capture Jaime and exorcise Lincoln's ghost for good. Moments after completing the exorcism he was shot by the villain Crossfire however. His daughter Jaime would become the new Phantom Rider, blaming Mockingbird for her father's death and attacking her and Hawkeye before being taken into custody.
